“If I say I care about Black people, then I have to care about mass incarceration.” — INCA MOHAMED
Mass incarceration is our inheritance from a criminal justice system rooted in racial oppression. Ending mass incarceration requires challenging racial inequalities head-on. How and where do we start?
This dynamic conversation kicked off PJI’s 8-part conversation series inspired by: What If? 10 Questions for Sparking Local Pretrial Change. We dug into what collaboration and co-creation look like when we put racial equity at the heart of pretrial reform.
