Collection & Analysis of Performance Measures
Jurisdictions should require the collection and publication of pretrial justice performance and outcome measures.
In order to gauge more accurately the effectiveness of pretrial decision-making, jurisdictions need to collect and analyze mission critical data. Often, data needed exist in various locations - the state criminal history repositories, jails, police departments, sheriffs' offices, courts and local pretrial services or probation departments. Jurisdictions should work to ensure that there is interoperability of data systems, or the development of data warehouses.
