Race and Ethnicity

People charged with criminal offenses reflect the diversity – racially and ethnically – of the communities they live in.  Pretrial services programs must be responsive in policy, practice, and services to the special needs created by race and ethnicity, in order for those accused of crimes to be treated fairly.
