Getting the "Username & password" Microsoft sharepoint glitch (as described in the FAQ) when I'm trying to subscribe to updates. I can't seem to get past the problem, so I don't think I'm enrolled in the updates subscription. 

After some researching, I found that Florida offers accreditation through the "Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC)" and the "Association of Pretrial Professionals of Florida (APPF)".  Is there an accreditation available from PJI or NAPSA?  We are developing a program in Cheshire County, NH.  Thanks.

I am also interested in assistance with revalidating our risk instrument.

I would like to start a Pretrial Drug Court or Pretrial Drug Diversion Program in my district.  I work in the federal system and there is only one known pretrial diversion program in our system.

I've talked to my Chief and the Chief Magistrate Judge regarding the need for such a program.  Although they both agree that it would be a good idea, no one seems to know where to begin.  Any suggestions?

Do you have any information on charging users a fee for pre-trial services they receive?

I am a Probation Operations Management Specialist with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts.  One of my local jurisdictions has been asked by the Chief Judge to implement a Pretrial Diversion program.  I have been asked to compile information regarding the standards, policies, procedures, as well as any other pertinent information that may help this jurisdiction.  I have seen several valuable resources on the PJI web site, but was wondering if there was anything in addition you may recommend, or if you would have any recommendation on where to start.  In addition, I would like to provide any description of technical assistance as well as a contact name and number to the local so if they would like to seek assistance they have a contact person.  Thank you in advance for any information and/or guidance you can provide.  It is most appreciated.

Literature suggests there is a movement away from having pretrial programs administered by the courts.  What is the rationale for this trend?  What factors are contributing to this trend?

Know I’m cheating here, but I’m wondering if you have any preliminary information on the use of risk assessments from the ongoing survey. We want to know if any pretrial programs use the LSI, LSI-R, LSI-CSM or LSR-SV as risk or needs assessment tools.

I am on pretrail how will it help me in court.Or is it just a thing to keep you out of jail until court date.

I'm interested in knowing what policies other pretrial services agencies have in terms of preparing a pretrial services report for defendants who have a  sex offense conviction.  For example, do other pretrial agencies review the sex offender registry to ascertain whether a defendant is registered? If the defendant is not registered, what further action is taken, e.g., recommending a condition to register, reporting the fact that the defendant is not registered in the pretrial services report, etc.  Thank you.

If a native American defendant is released with Pretrial supervision, and fails to appear in court, are bench warrants valid on reservations?

The practice here in Horry County, SC, is that bail bondsmen will not put up bail for minor offenses with bonds in the $500 range.  The defendant either comes up with the full amount, or stays in custody.  Is this a common practice in the US?  Do you have a survey of practices in the various states?

Just looking for some current stats national averages on technical violations, criminal violations, and failure to appear rates.  I need this information as soon as possible.

Maine is undergoing an examination of corrections practices and programs. A Board of Corrections has been established, with a pretrial subcommittee. The chair of that committee has requested national averages for appearance rate and new criminal conduct pretrial, as well as technical violation rates. He would like 2007, 2008. Can you help? I've been doing some research into pretrial services, and I'm curious if there are programs that coincide with investigations prior to arrest (perhaps for specific accusations versus others)...I've heard ACLU ads that speak of people being put into a pretrial type service without ever being officially questioned and perhaps without warrants.  Does this fall into your arena?  If not, what type of pretrial justice would this fall into?  Thanks in advance for your knowledge and time.

What exactly is meant by those counties who have identified the pretrial stage for MH interventions. Do these programs already exist or is this new money for new ideas. If so, where do I find more information please.
